At Congregation Ahavat Olam, all are welcome to participate in the intimate, nurturing, and vibrant Jewish congregational community that is committed to Torah, Avodah and G’milut Chasadim, as well as the Jewish people and the State of Israel.

Congregation Ahavat Olam is a welcoming Reform Jewish congregation in Deerfield, IL providing an intimate and spiritual community environment of belonging and connectedness. Individuals and families gather together at our Deerfield “Synagogue" for unique worship experiences, social, educational and interfaith programs.

Ahavat Olam has two meanings . . . Love of the World, and
Everlasting/Eternal Love.  Ahavat Olam is a prayer from our evening liturgy, expressing our love to God for the gift of Torah.

*Taste of Shabbat services are very brief, and offer the option to stay for the special program following the service. Held on the 4th Friday of each month and open to the public, the feel and focus of these services are different than other services. You are encouraged to come early to mingle and enjoy refreshments before and during the program. These services are very brief, without a prayer book, and include Mi Shebeirach (prayer for healing), Kaddish Yatom (Mourner's Kaddish), and other prayers, as well as a discussion about the weekly Torah portion.
